The project meeting M28 was held in Helsinki on the 12th of September 2018. It was hosted by Net Technologies Finland and took place at Meeting Park Forum in the Centre of Helsinki. After the briefing of the progress of the project so far, the focus of the work in the meeting was on the Technology Integration, how to put things together and how to validate the technologies developed in the project.
In the morning of the 13th of September, the INDEAL project members had the pleasure to visit the KATRI VALA HEATING AND COOLING PLANT in Helsinki. Katri Vala is the largest heat pump plant in the world to produce district heat and cooling. The plant is located inside a cave, underneath of the Katri Vala Park in Sörnäinen, only three kilometres from the centre of Helsinki. To produce energy the heat pumps are using purified waste water and return water from district cooling.
